In Rush Hour the main characters are famous for making action films. They are Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. By the audience seeing these names appear on the trailer, they will want to see the film as they may like these actors from previous films.
Setting: There are a lot of different types of settings for the film judging by the trailer as we see them in different buildings and then we see them on public transport which suggests they are always moving from location to location.
Props: The main props used in the trailer is weapons which causes a few explosions but we mainly see punching instead. Some other props used are equipment in which the characters use to defend themselves or use to attack the opposition.
Costumes: We see the main characters (Lee and Carter) wear suits/ smart clothing for the duration of the trailer and so this suggests that they could be spy's or undercover in the film.
Sounds: We hear both diegetic and non diegetic sound. There is background music and this increases in tempo and volume as the fighting takes place. There is also explosions in which the characters can hear as well as the audience.
Representation: The way the main characters are represented (dressed in suits) suggests that they are trying to make a good impression for themselves and their side of the fight.
Supernatural themes: The only supernatural themes that we see from the trailer are explosions.
